Founded in 1920. It is the supporting institution for the National Center for Stomatology and the National Clinical Research Center for Oral Diseases. Its Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery remains the world’s largest plastic surgery medical center and China’s leading center for plastic surgery in medical treatment, teaching and research. Annual outpatient and emergency visits exceed 4.8 million, inpatient admissions over 150,000, inpatient surgeries more than 90,000, and outpatient surgical procedures over 170,000.

Founded in 1907, the hospital has an annual total of over 6 million outpatient and emergency visits, nearly 200,000 inpatient admissions and more than 100,000 surgeries. As Shanghai’s first medical institution offering foreign-related medical services, it is a designated medical facility for consulates of 10 countries. Founded in 1997, it is one of China’s leading private hospital groups.
