Founded in 1920. It is the supporting institution for the National Center for Stomatology and the National Clinical Research Center for Oral Diseases. Its Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery remains the world’s largest plastic surgery medical center and China’s leading center for plastic surgery in medical treatment, teaching and research. Annual outpatient and emergency visits exceed 4.8 million, inpatient admissions over 150,000, inpatient surgeries more than 90,000, and outpatient surgical procedures over 170,000.

Founded in 1892, it is China’s first medical institution certified as an International Comprehensive Stroke Center by the World Stroke Organization.
