Founded in 1956, it is a Grade A tertiary general hospital with orthopedics and burn medicine as key disciplines. As the National Orthopedic Center, the hospital was the designated medical support hospital for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games and Winter Paralympic Games.
