Founded in 1844, it was the first Western medicine hospital after the opening of Shanghai port. It is equipped with advanced medical equipment including dual-source photon-counting CT, PET-CT, PET-MR, Da Vinci surgical robot, X-ray stereotactic radiotherapy system, TomoTherapy system, linear accelerator (LA), 320-row 640-slice ultra-speed spiral CT, hybrid operating room system and telemedicine teaching system. The hospital has 2,750 authorized beds. Annual outpatient and emergency visits reach 7.4584 million, inpatient admissions 268,200, and inpatient surgeries 134,000.

Founded in 1957, it is China’s first Grade A tertiary specialized hospital focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of cardiothoracic diseases after the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Centered on two major discipline clusters: thoracic tumors and cardiovascular diseases, it masters the most extensive spectrum and full range of diagnostic and therapeutic technologies for cardiothoracic diseases in China. Annual outpatient and emergency visits exceed 860,000, with more than 28,000 surgeries performed each year. The proportion of Grade-III and Grade-IV surgeries is over 90%. Its surgical volume for tracheal and mediastinal tumors ranks No.1 nationwide, lung tumor surgery volume ranks No.2 nationwide, and esophageal surgery volume is among the top in China and ranks No.1 in the city.

Founded in 1937. Its clinical capabilities in the fields of heart, liver, kidney, lung, digestive tract and panvascular diseases are at the top domestic and world-advanced level. The hospital is fully equipped with world-class diagnostic and therapeutic equipment including Da Vinci surgical robots, 3.0T high-field MRI, PET-CT, high-end DSA interventional systems and precision radiotherapy devices. More than 90 MDT teams have been established. Annual outpatient and emergency visits exceed 6.1 million, inpatient admissions over 280,000, and inpatient surgeries more than 210,000.
