Founded in 1956, it is a Grade A tertiary general hospital with orthopedics and burn medicine as key disciplines. Annual outpatient and emergency visits reach 3.0053 million, surgeries 90,400, and inpatient admissions 100,500. As the National Orthopedic Center, the hospital was the designated medical support hospital for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games and Winter Paralympic Games.

Founded in 1921, it is one of the earliest hospitals tasked with providing medical services for foreign guests. Annual surgeries exceed 70,000, and annual inpatient admissions are over 120,000. It hosts 6 national-level research platforms, including the National Key Laboratory for Severe, Complex and Rare Diseases, the National Major Science and Technology Infrastructure for Translational Medicine, the National Clinical Research Center for Obstetric and Gynecologic Diseases, and the National Clinical Research Center for Skin and Immune Diseases.

Founded in 1918. Departments including Hematology, Orthopedics and Traumatology are at the top national level. It has achieved outstanding results in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, diagnosis and treatment of bone tumors, and emergency and critical care.
